Live, from the Keith Wann show, is "Fireflies" by Owl City; performed by Ally in American Sign Language. :)

Thanks to Mina Gordon and Keith Wann for inviting and allowing me to perform! What an opportunity! Also, thanks to Kristen (Zadinak) for the recording. I have a little better version that I'll upload as soon as I get on DVD, but for now this one will suffice. :) THANKS TO ALL THE YT'ERS THAT CAME OUT TO WATCH AND SUPPORT ME! I LOVE ALL OF YOU!! :)

As a CODA... No. Not really. You can't be Deaf without being deaf... You can be a friend of the Deaf community, but even though I'm a CODA, and an interpreter, I am still not a true member of the Deaf community, because when it comes down to it, I CAN PHYSICALLY HEAR. I wondered all my life what its like for my dad, but I will never REALLY know total silence as he does.

@lineduse the great thing about interpreting is that each interpretation can be unique and different, depending on the signer (and if the signs are accurate). These signs ARE accurate. Though if you were going to perform a song in ASL you should try and interpret it yourself instead of using someone elses' interpretation.

@tyndsu I really want to be apart of the Deaf Community. Its rare for a hearing person to be accepted in, but it is possible. Any tips?

@1RavynSkye While working for Gallaudet University in Washington DC, I have met hearing people who are considered to be part of the Deaf community. It does happen that a hearing person who is so involved with the Deaf Community is referred to as deaf and considered to be part of the Deaf community.

is the sign of "believe" similar with the sign of "want" ? bcause i see in other video that the signer sign "want" just like this signer when she signs "believe"
