@JOY2260 Ya, but you guys always drop the baton, and you guys DO care so don't pretend like you don't. Besides - you still have to win another 10 classics just to be tied with us, we got 40 Baby!!!

well being a freshman in band i fell kind of embressed now,but hey how can you guys hear us if their only a little bit off people who play band and most of them will leave next year
-
@zzoti I'm from 1996 and I remember my year the band being 5 times as big and being the sole pride of Garfield but let's not bash on these guys, they're the only brave souls left trying to carry on the tradition. Ever since Manywheather left, the program has just suffered from poor recruiting and Directorial management. The recruitment aggressiveness Mr. Manywheather had is just not there anymore and I hope someone reads this and decides to do something about it. Peace, Go Bulldogs!!

Oh damn! What the heck happened to the Bullodogs!!! I was in band 1990 and yikes compared to this one!!!! Oh man these guys are just like uh-uh! This band put the school to shame! How sad at 0:56 :( tsk tsk for shame!!! And by the way the band is way smaller too. Guess kids now a days aren't too much into band huh.

@jxm083a well same here i used to be proud of being apart of it (the pit, drum line) but now i am just speechless... i was looking forward to my senior year and Mr. Adame just killed the program... we did nothing for second semester =( and we used to be good... the pit was 1st in southern california (i'm not to sure on the band or colorguard) but he just didn't want to let us play... hopefully things turn for Garfield's Marching Band and Colorguard...
I don't like how people are dissing them so much. You know how dedicated and hard workers these guys are? It's not their fault that the school focuses more on football. I am proud of our band. May not be the best, but they try their hardest. They all tried their best and that should matter.

@shikakunfan01 When I was in the band from 1987 to 1990, this was the practice regime: Practice from 7 AM to the end of 1st period. After school from 3 to about 5 or even 6 every day. Before the Classic or competition it was until night. Band camp before the fall semester. Bear in mind that now (2011), the schools are enduring massive budget cuts and the arts tend to be hit hard. I have seen the students practice lately and they do put in a lot of hard work. It's hard to execute a halftime show.

@queenb534 Mr. Adame is in charge of the band. And I agree. I was barely able to hear the band play from where I was sitting. What you hear in the video is exactly what I was listening.
