Skateboarding wasn't EVER about being the best, it was about going in the streets to have butt-loads of fun with friends, and eventually give a little finger to the establishment.

It is the modern society that has put it into competition, I disapprove skateboarding in the olympic games, and I also do not condon awards like S.O.T.Y, the Transworld awards, etc...

All of those are tempting to performance and to forget what real skateboarding is about!

dude, that's exactly what I think, i hate all the 12 years old kids who skate for their lives and always want to win contests and shit, and almost cry when they can't do a trick.
