Demo of the hydraulic ram pump in Brgy. San Jose, Sipalay, Negros Occidental. The 1-inch ram here was fabricated by trainees during a tech-transfer training I conducted earlier, sponsored by the BINHI Foundation of Sipalay, through the efforts of Mr. Edmund Garinganao (shown making a short speech at the end of the video). We had to make do with whatever is available: a pvc drive pipe, 90-degree elbow, some rubber strips to check leaks, margarine plastic container for a drive tank. Drive head around 2 meters, achieved by putting the drive tank on the stage and on top of a table. The delivery line is a garden hose tied up a flagpole, around 12 meters of delivery head. The water source is a nearby water tank.
