Oh noes, HOW DARE YOU use that logical argument. Somebody, call the thought crime police.

@hutch1111111 True it is a theory, however through DNA studies and studying the stories of some tribes, that were nomadic and moved southward along the coast from the north while there was an ice/land bridge supports the theory, it seems to be the most logical assumption. DNA wise, Native Americans are closer genetically to Eastern asians. All people, no matter the race, developed from our homo ergaster ancestors. There are theories as to which was first N-A, east asians or an unknown ppl.

@Ranma1981 I am afraid you are mistaken, we did not come across any land bridge, the Beringina Theory is just that, a theory.

where's the heritage minute with Agnes MacPhail!?

If the fundamentalists take over the US, you may well get quite a few liberals who flee from here as there are repressive laws against many of us on the fundamentalist agenda

@bloodbirdy obviously it wsn't like that back then....back then immigration is what made the country into what it is today
Canada has the space and resources to take in more then any other country on earth, But Since NAFTA and each time we get AmericanConservitive partys we loose more of our National Identity and Resources,

@ch0c01ateMi1k I was born here in Canada, I have lived in Canada for 29 years of my life and will die here in Canada. I am a native of Canada. I am white and I am Canadian. The only non native Canadians are those who were not born in Canada. I hate how everyone thinks only Indians (native americans) are considered natives of Canada....because even they immigrated across the land bridge and are from Siberia/Asian decent. So I consider a native as someone born here.
