Agreed it was a fair match 33psi 2 liter vs 10psi 5.7 liter. Coming from a 800hp Procharged C5 owner ill admit evo's are sweet I give respect to where its due. But people need to stop thinking that Vette's cant be made to make huge power like an evo. Usually dont get into these petty arguments but who has seen an EVO make 1000hp on PUMP gas. What motor is going to last longer one pushing 10psi or 33psi. Love both cars but I cant stand ignorant fan boys. We all love racing why cant that be enough

BTW love that evo! I have a 370bhp evo 8 that would get smoked by either of these 2, but here we get stung on insurance for mods, i'm paying £1650 a year (around $2100) think i should move to the states man!

Hey nice vid! Gotta ask everyone in the states one question........ Does anyone take part in street races that actually goes round corners? I love dragging but over here in the UK there aren't that many dead straight roads to be found. Also a few turns add another dimension to it all, not just about the power then!

@ArchAngel2911 Evo's are meant for high boost, they come out factory at 19 psi. Thats higher than most cars can handle. 33 psi is high for pump gas yes, but for E85 that's avg. I have 106k on my car and i'm at 27 psi. Still stock motor.

Both cars are great end of the day the v8 would win in the long run were the 2 litre will slow down

@ArchAngel2911 I used to be a Honda owner and now am an Evo owner and I love seeing comments like this. TYVM for showing where respect is due. I personally love Vettes and have much respect for them as well. I know Evo owners who break 1000hp mark and same for Vettes. Fact is a fast car is a fast car. Whether V8, JDM, or Euro, put time, effort, and money into it you can have a respectable car.

LOL! True there a ton of V8's that do the 1/4 mile in 5's so people have been there and done that what's the challenge. Seriously, your talking about reliability on a funny car race motor most of those cars are lucky enough to make it down the track without having issue or blowing up.

@thestranglehold09 2012 Z06 has a 7:22 on the Nurburgring and that's a car under 70k and a BASE MODEL Corvette is in the 7's on the Nurburgring and we all know how cheap BASE MODEL vettes are, and even a base model is faster than an evo on the Nurburgring...NUFF SAID

@888mexico Stock, yes they are in fact 2.0L. this car has a crank shaft from a 2.4l mitsu motor, & with the appropriate parts makes it a 2.3L stroker.

@shagy2k5 YEA..FOR THE SIZE to SIZE COMPAIR.. but a good tuner can get good mpg and power..to many tuner think only WOT is all you need to tune..
