Yes, your listening to Rock history here! As it unfolded.....the Wall of Sound was amazing, and with the incredible talent of Tina Turner too. You can't say too much about the genius being revealed...no wonder the Beatles, Lennon, or George Harrison hired Spector to produce!

That's a historical recording session...the rest is...Well, you know what I mean: Kylies, Madonnas, Beyonces...are so far, so far away from that. And they're considering themselves as "singers"? The more I hear Tina Turner singing, the most "hard-working rock´n roll singer" title she deserves...She's the real queen!

Amazing! Jim Horn led the horn section on this session, and he told me that at one point during the
recording, Phil Spector walked out of the control room, frustrated by the performance he was getting,
walked into the studio, pulled out his gun, and started firing into the air, knocking down some of the ceiling tiles. Jim told me Tina and the band didn't say anything to one another, just quietly put away their instruments and LEFT THE STUDIO for the day! No wonder Phil's in jail.

totally phenomenal!!.....final production is perhaps the most dynamic in music history!

For me this is the best soul song ever produced. After 40 years it still gives me goose bumps. The whole construction is out of this world. Not one beat too many or too few. Tina's voice and emotional input hits right where the soul joins the body
