@Elric33239 BBC wasn't really strict compared to the rest of the world at the time, Palin was able to say "screw the bible, Ive got a gay lib meeting to goto" (or something to that effect) in the first season I think.

Which installment was that aired? Also, I didn't say that they were the strictest in the world, I said that they were strict. You should track down some Python interviews and see one of Eric's where he talked about how they tried to do a wine tasting sketch where they used "wee-wee" several times to describe the 'beverages" and how John tipped off the censors about it and prevented it from airing! ABC in the US was even worse when they aired the 4th series and bleeped out "naughty bits!"
