messing around with some tunes from two songs that i heard performed by Besh o droM ("Katalin" from their first album "Macho Embroidery" and "Kavalos" from "Gyí"). (They are my favourite Hungarian band - make sure you check out their website www. beshodrom.hu )

  • Superb playing. Is that a PVC kaval?

    Respects.

  • Heya!

Thanks for the flattering comment. It is indeed a PVC-kaval. It is really easy to make - just google the phrase "how to make your own kaval" and it gives you all the measurements you need to know!

Good luck if you decide to make one - it is a lot of fun, once you get past the initial difficulties in producing a sound the fingering is fairly simple.

    Adios!

  • did u have mental problems while u re blowing this instrument...?

  • hi to all Hungarian brothers and sisters from Turkey ! actually i am in Budapest now

  • hi to every1, Macar, Bulgar and Tatar they are from Ogur tribes and Turks, Azeris, Turcomans they are from Oguz tribes. In reality both of these tribes are the same stock (Ogur - Oguz) only difference is Oguz ended their journey bottom of the Black Sea and destined Turkey, Ogur ended their journey above to Black Sea and destined to Eastern Europe, argue all you want but real stock of the Hungarian, Bulgarian and Tatar is Turkic bload, rest is local Slavic or Germanic women by marriage

  • Hungarian is kinda like English: English has a lot of words from Latin but its base words are Germanic. Hungarian is based from Uralic but has an influx of Turkic words over the centuries.

  • TURAN !

  • we are brothers, Turkey, Hungary, Bulgaria, Azerbaijan, Tataristan and all others....

  • Hi. When you cover holes with your fingertips, unlike kaval is originally played, move holes sideways when making kaval. According to the range of each finger, it will make a "s" shape and it'll be a lot easier to play this way. When you make them in line, it's easier to cover them with the part of your finger before the last joint on your finger tips - you surelly noticed how people play it.

BTW I do it that the same way as you do, only I did what I said with all holes.

    Have fun :)

  • @dogg8701 Turks were not BORN in Asia. Go back 20.000 years in history you will see that Turks have MIGRATED TO Asia. Their previous homeland was Eastern Europe. The longest and most exciting history is the Turk-Magar! :)

  • Wow, that is amazing.

  • In CE 670, Kubrat, the Onogur turk khagan had five sons, the oldest was Bat-Bayan Bezmer, the great-great gandfather of Ugek, Almysh, Arpad. The dynasty was the Dulo House (Gyula). I think that Almysh was not killed on the border of Transylvania, but he was elected to be the Khagan of the Volga-Bulgars (OGUR Turks). Home work: Who was the ancestor of Kubrat?

But I can tell you: Attila

FINNO-UGRIC BLA_BLA_BLA was invented by the Habsburgs and well maintained by the Soviets.

    TURKS FOR EVER !

  • Turks had occupied much of Hungary for a few hundred years, and even the early Magyars often allied with Turkic tribes, so that might explain the close resemblance their languages have today. Whereas Hungarian has been separated from Finnish for over 2000 years, and today only share maybe 100 root words. It's possible that Hungarian originated as a Finno-Ugric tongue that was spoken by the ancestors of the Finns, but simply became more Turkic over time as the Magyars moved west and settled down.

  • yeah logic316 when i looked at a video (turkish) it had hungarian subtitles under it it souned almost the same BUT if its so similiar why do they say the only lanquegewho looks similiar to the hungarians is finish but when i saw finish words it was very different than hungarian..

  • The TURK is born in asia in the region of the Altai Mountain.

Mainly the Turk wents to three points of compass.

To the east, crossing the Bering Strait to america. The Indians we call, are TURKS.

The part which becomes todaysTurkey, wents to south.

And the last part wents to the west, these part was the HUN TURKS & these part becames todays Hungary.

Hungarians are Turks. The Bulgarians have turkish blood. All the Balkan region.

Turk was nomad, so Turk was everywhere. And Turk is bloody.
