  • I would buy more Waves plug-ins if they were sold individually and not in bundles.

  • @apathymusic You can actually buy many plugins individually with YourWaves. Go to Waves.com and there is a link to it on the home page.

  • While I generally agree, it's pretty ironic that you choose to say this on the Waves channel. Waves plugins are horribly overpriced and, though they may be much cheaper than the hardware they emulate, they are simply out of reach of many of us because of the markup attached to them. I love the videos you've put up and am grateful for them but will continue to use free (legal) and cheaper equivalent plugins until the price comes down. I know I'm not the only home user who feels this way either.

  • I agree with you Chris, its not cool to take cracked plugins .... But you guys have to lower the price. The price for waves plugins are ridiculously high.

  • If the software is overpriced then look at cheaper alternatives. It's not rocket science you don't HAVE to use nothing but Waves plug-ins to get the best sound. Sure they're great but there's plenty of other company's out there making great products at cheaper prices. If you want the top shelf plug ins, earn them.

  • The price is high because they value their product. How much do you charge for your music? 1 penny? You probably charge more because you value your product too. If something is too high then it won't sell which they would then lower the price or realize they cannot be competitive. Since they haven't lowered the price, that means there is a viable market that accepts the price and realizes the value.

  • I'm glad that Waves Pugins are out of reach for many. If everyone had them, then no one would have an edge would they? These plugins are worth saving up and paying for. Same goes for other systems. PT HD isn't cheap for a reason. Just imagine if everyone had everything that is out there for making music, it wouldn't pay to make music any more. It's about being able to make money with this stuff and it costs money to make money.

  • stealing plugins is bad, mkay. you shouldn't steal plugins because it's bad, mkay? So don't be bad.

  • I agree completely. If you feel the software is over priced, contact the maker and tell them that you would gladly pay [X] for it, but since it's out of your price range you aren't able to support them and keep them in business. I feel if they get loads of these messages that they will adjust their prices to reflect what people can afford. I want waves to stay in business along with anyone out there who makes plugins that helps me be creative.

  • well maybe you could actually make the price-point affordable. It's no secret that plug-ins and software are severely overpriced.

  • .....and THAT'S why we wait 'till the holidays to do our Waves shopping when everything's on sale.

  • Its the fact there is no consequence i.e no-one can catch you doing it, and you can do it anywhere with an internet connect. This allows ppl to be totally detached from any form of wrong-doing. Ppl also judge the price of software harshly compared to hardware i.e looking in a magazine of studio hardware ppl rarely complain openly about the price, instead move on to something affordable. Often unjustified i.e what are the overheads of producing vsts? Why should they be cheaper?

  • i agree with you mr lord 100 percent..but how do you justify charging rediculesly stupid prices for plugins...and i hear you say"if i dont have a plug in,ill borrow it".are you serious?isnt borrowing stealing as well?..not only have ever used cracks, ive never borrowed a plug in either.but tell me this..how do you justify paying over 250.00 for 6 plug ins?..and to hateenvy..is it really nessesary to call people names you dont agree with?..thats a low form of character.bottom line.too much $

  • @BiggDapp if they're too expensive......don't buy them. Buy the hardware versions. I'm sure they're MUCH cheaper that way!!! dork
