  • Why so many Canadians? Do they hire Americans as well? Is this a Canadian company? Let me know please.

  • It looks like a reasonable and balanced introduction to life teaching English in Taiwan to me, Jonny.

I'm in Minneapolis. I have 5 degrees, including a bachelor's in computer science and a master's in education. I apply for jobs, but I don't even get interviews. There are around 300 applications for every teaching job, 500 for an administrative assistant job.

Your abbreviated, can't even spell public relations, full of yourself, ignorant and arrogant attitude never helped anyone.

  • Jonnypbrady, I haven't visited Taiwan, but from the videos about Hess, ** you ** sound like you're exaggerating.

I can see the lessons are well tailored for the ages in each class. They even have an environmental focus, which is progressive. Hess is a business, so they have to consider making a profit. And not everyone who goes to Taiwan, wants to teach English year after year.

  • "private club" eh?

    HMMM!!

  • hey i have been thinking about getting into teaching english for a while now. i spent a few weeks in vietnam and found the place very interesting. i was wondering what is invovled in making such a life change and what qualifications i may need to teach in an asian country. any info you can give me would be great.

  • Wow, your doing well! Nice home, I do like all the colours in your home! Been to China and Hong Kong many time, but never been to Taiwan!

  • Nice clip

  • Ha Ha ...love the bit at the end when entering the night club/bar : )

  • Hi! Just want to say that it's really a nice video.I also lived in Taiwan and actually loving it here. Can I ask something? Is there any way or possibility that HESS will hire a non native english teacher?Even for a kinder garten coz i'm really looking for this kind of work. Thanks! Enjoy your stay in Taiwan.God bless!!!

  • They train in large groups because they have such a high turnover and they need to replace all those people.

They're not serious about teaching or learning, they will pass students who have failed and they like to give 'good' grades all the time so it looks good to parents, they damage learning.

Their main focus is profit margin and that is evident by the company's sheer size, they don't give a monkeys about the children or their learning!
