Re: Israel's utility for the US, yeah I know what AIPAC says. Do you have any views of your own? Maybe no one told you about the last two wars Israel fought with 'rogue states', or perhaps you slept through Israel two retreats from Lebanon in 2000 and 2006. I always love fact-free, faith-based analysis. So Iraq was invaded to protect the dollar? May I ask what's the evidence you base this conclusion on? Don't tell me its because Iraq decided to sell in Euros. You know where the money from the Oil-for-Food program went? And you might also want to explain why the people who led the charge against Iraq were making the same demands back in '96 when Iraq was still 4 years away from making that move? The agenda is quite global. Everything is done to protect the dollar as the world reserve currency to continue borrowing from the world for our growth. Israel is a piece of the puzzle. They provide us two purposes: As the only true military power in the Middle East, they suppress "rogue states", haven defeated them combined 3 times. As a perceived victim they provide the US and excuse to intervene there to ensure oil countries sell their oil in dollars to create demand for the dollar.
