I picked a scab from my elbow, and because I had a very weak immune system already (from a respiratory infection), it got infected with Group A Streptococcus bacteria. Not pleasant at all.

About the time the doctor was draining the inefected fluid from my elbow, the bacteria had already begun to spread through my bloodstream and attack my liver, kidneys, bladder, etc,. This procedure in the video was done on day 1 at the hospital, but I got so sick from the infection I remained a total of 8 days in hospital with heavy duty antibiotics fed through I.V.

  • i thought the doctor was having a wee taster of your drainage at 1:54

  • @cominup85 That's funny. Hadn't noticed that.

  • Man didn't they numb your elbow before cutting into it like that? It looks sore, I've got a little inflammation going on in my elbow right now. Ouch!

  • @cebrownf They did use a little bit of local freezing --- the small needle at the very beginning of the video. Didn't help much, because the elbow was already causing major pain anyway, so slicing into it with the knife wasn't as bad as you might think.
