If by advocates and achievers, you mean celebrities? Then yes, they do, that's only because the American film industry has created a near, hemisphere-wide monopoly on film entertainment. They come here because they can't further their careers in Canada unfortunately so.

Yeah, true, and understood. But I still find the whole thing a bit hypocritical.
And tbh, I preferred the old one...even if it did provide a "sugar-coated" view of Canada.
I still loved it.

This was an awesome movie, I was so proud to be Canadian after seeing this. The song was awesome, I hope Eva Avila sings this at the opening ceremonies of Vancouver 2010!

Yeah and where do you think he spends most of his time? He became a naturalised citizen of the US. He probably only goes back to Canada for the odd holiday / wedding / funeral.
I don't know why people are giving me negativity, I'm in defense of Canada, not against it - at least get someone who has dedicated their life to place to do something like this, who's proud to still be living there *permanently* despite their fame and fortune.
