  • Hi, I'm also looking for Si Duan Taiji Qiang. Did you managed to find it? If you've would you mind sharing with me.

    Thanks

  • Hi does anyone know if there is a Si Duan Taiji Qiang video uploaded. The second part of the San Duan Taiji Qiang above. I have been searching but couid not find it. Thanks

  • @moggmatou this isnt chen taiji spear. the narrator actually says "san duan taiji qiang" which means 3 section taiji spear. this form is part of the simplified taiji or jian hua taiji.

  • This is Chen style Taijichuan (you'll hear the narator saying "Chen quiang taijichuan" at the beginning -> Chen spear taichi).

  • This is awsome! The tip of his spear does not budge except when he wants to move it - perfectly smooth.

  • What style of Tai Chi is this form from? Is it Yang? Can someone tell me I would be very grateful.

  • i agree with magellan500, footwork is essential. this is a great form and very elegant. if there arent any studios to learn from I would recommend a senior center (sounds insulting, but dont let it scare you) I knwo of a few senior centers in my area that teach and practice for free, good environment and you can make some friends lol. just keep looking Im sure there is someplace near you.

  • nice

  • Does a reference book or document about this spear form?

  • Since you don't have an instructor, I thought I'd offer some advice based on my own modest knowledge and skill in the art. In tai chi, one of the most important things is the footwork. They move differently from other martial artists, and the unique footwork is part of that. I would concentrate on learning that in the beginning. Footwork may sound boring, but if you can do that, the rest will follow.
