yep its boogie
but boogie is often called as an easy version of jive (not completely correct but called so)
and in my opinion no dvd or video can you do really learn right dancing but i think this video is good for people who wants to learn it for a wedding or a level party something like that. in that way, nice and good vid!

It's single-time East coast swing. They're probably going to use this basic step to get the total beginner comfortable with a similar action then transition into the tripple action of jive. That's just my guess. True jive is a tough dance for a beginner because it is so fast.

This guy is my favourite online instructor but even he can't do much to make the ballroom jive look attractive. It's an ugly dance, even when performed by experts, and is being more or less superseded by dances like modern jive, salsa, West Coast swing, etc. At my dance club hardly anyone now performs ballroom jive.

Thank you for your comment. This is a Beginners Jive instructional video, not a performance video. We always start a beginner with the single rhythm jive (4 steps) before progressing to the triple rhythm (8 steps). We teach the triple rhythm at the Bronze I level.
