I didnt know it was genetics of the breed that did that. Its kinda unique :). i just hope that doesnt cause health issues. Would be terrible for them to have to go through surgery because of it. Was it mans doing in mixing breeds, or was it a natural genetic cause? O.o

In response to doglover1's comment. Of course, all dachshunds have a slightly bent nose. That's how they were bred to be. And yes, seeing a dappled Doxy is not that common, which makes Frankie even more unique and desirable (and beautiful) in my book.

Frankie is a big boy now! The difference between your first posted "puppy-video" and this one shows it nicely. He's a beautiful, dappled little guy who looks like he gets all of the love and attention he deserves. Keep up the good work! Frankie is a sweetheart...and definitely one of my favorite dogs. Hopefully, someday I can post some videos of Rupert, my standard German wire-haired doxy. I'm sure they'd love to play together....

@dogylover1 It sure is! Hopefully it doesn't get to the point where he'll need surgery. He's as happy as can be and getting lots of love.
