I dig these basses, but when I played it I did just what this guy is doing. My posture was that of somebody playing a traditional electric bass but leaning to make it an upright. I ended up just putting on the strap. It actually was much easier to play with a strap. Also, the stand made it very rigid. At least with a real upright you can move and swing with the instrument. All in all, the bass is awesome but I prefer it with a strap.

This was my first time playing this tremendous instrument, and I kinda pushed it a bit to see what it could do. What a pleasure it was to play with the GREAT Billy Carr! Thanks Dutch, what a treat!
