At. :41 Jerry is gently kicking the good cardinal's leg so he stops reading and gives a further explanation of what he just read....We are so blest to have Cardinal Arinze. Maybe the Lord will make him Pope someday.

Arinze needs to be the next Pope.

Actually, it's contraception that is degrading to women. It portrays a woman's reproductive system as something that is inconvenient and needs to be suppressed.
A couple should have as many kids as they may comfortably and reasonably raise, not be "baby machines", so save the Malthusian doom for another topic.

Folke wisdome suggests that not having sex is an impossibility , that it results in people becoming embittered and that sex is a right. The Catholic philosphy views sex as a gift that you both give and receive and that contraception is the result of, and/or will lead to sex without the focus on giving rather then just receiving.
p.s Sorry that my grammar and spelling is completly up to shit. I even just left words out complelty :l

The rhythm method. The Catholic Philosophy basically suggests this, though there exists methods which seem to seperate human action from natural consequences it does not remove the natural purpose of those actions in the first place.
Of course you are not going to agree with the churches teachings on conraception it's purpose as something which is always a sign of love between partners and not removed from the natural consequences.

"Well this is assuming that people can not control the amount/ when they have sex."
I'm guessing that this reply was referring back to my comment about overpopulation. It assumes that people cannot control when they have sex? Suppose a married couple doesn't want any children. Does that mean they should never have sex? Suppose they have two children, but don't want any more. Should they never have sex again, or use the rhythm method which is known to be unreliable?

Jibjub my only question i sthough have you ever read the Theology of the Body and understand the arguments, or even the fact that there are philosphical and theological arguments behind Church sexual teachings, that are more than just "Bible sais this...". I acknowledge that you may and probable will come out of this exersize hating the Church even more but i still think it is better then pressing stop when you hear something you disagree with.

Ok i agree that arguments against homosexuality are wrong, but i do not agree that they are the result of a personal hatred towards homosexuality, but it is equally wrong to suggest that they are the product of perosnal hatred. As apronising as you may assume this to be.

What the RCC is doing and has done for a long time is holding the gay community to a double standard. I also think that church teaching on contraceptive usage are quite absurd, and also degrading to women. It turns them into "baby machines." Suppose noone practiced contraception. Should women just bear as many children as they are physically capable of having? If they were to do that, the world would be so overpopulated that people may die of famine.
Impeach OBAMA and elect Arinze, we need him to run our country because our Democracy has been destroyed.
