@Amar7605 The Romulan Empire is based on Cold War China, so that is a very astute observation :)

I only ever play as Romulan in anything. Ever.

Sounds like they're describing China.

@JayEey The Tholians are my favorite, for the simple fact that I prefer non-humanoids in science fiction.

"Misdirection is the key to survival."
Based on this quote, if the Ferengi = Space Republicans, then Romulans = Space Democrats.

She said never to reveal your TRUE strength, not to never demonstrate any strength at all. Most likely there were three more warbirds waiting in the wings ready to wreck shit once everyone was sufficiently distracted by the first ship...

@Nerupe0 While the language used by the other guy was a bit extreme, I have read that Roddenberry used his future war to represent the Cold War in the present:- the Klingons were supposed to represent the Russians, while the Romulans were supposed to represent the more secretive Chinese, with the Federation representing the US. IMO, the only fun civilisation is the Romulan one as the other two are just cardboard caricatures.
The Romulans are my favourite race. EVERY Star Trek episode that involves Romulans is a great episode.
