  • Oh i see now, I didn't read the prior comment lol. This really is an inspiring story, and the original Don Quixote, the first modern novel of the 1400's by Cervantes, actually did very well in its time. I think it's great that the first modern novel has a lot about mental illness and how it's not always a bad thing :)

  • + hope = breakable

  • @lifeisentropy I wish I understood what you mean by this comment could you elaborate?

  • Love this freakin movie. Love the play and the script. It is beautiful all ways it is shown!

  • I get shivers every time! What an incredible performance!

  • Beautiful and meaningful, this story and movie are timeless... Bravo!!!!!!

  • @mickmeggie bravo. :) well said.

  • Wow...isn't that how God sees us...as Dulcineas; precious, valuable, adored creatures made in His image, but how often we can't believe that those things about ourselves. I love Quixote's response to her, after she's screaming the lies she's accepted about herself.

"You are NOW and FOREVER MY LADY."

    Powerful.

  • her voice is different but i like it

  • no one touches her performance

  • @TheMimiWeeny I Agree. A book always has more interpretations than its movie adaptions. Let's concentrate on this masterpiece here.

Besides, Cervantes might have been a cynic, but he was a witty one, and he used his cynicism to reveal the truth about how cruel the world was and how it could be improved. You couldn't live the life he did and not have some sort of belief in goodness.

  • he wasn't crazy he was a knight ' a man of true honor '
