  • he's playing the rythym guitar and melody at the same time. This tune was recorded with one guitar playing all the way through.

  • @tropics1020 are you sure? even the bass part?

  • @maitaiman Yes he is. There is no bass player in this song. It's just Lenny playing playing rythym and melody, along with a drummer. You can check out some more of his videos on youtube and actually see him playing rythym and lead at the same time.

  • @maitaiman I´m pretty sure there´s a bass, of course he can play the melody, the harmony and a bass line , but there´s a bass for sure, the normal guitar cannot play notes that low, come on, check 2:39 there´s a groovy bass over there ^^

  • He could be using a 7 - String to get those low base notes

  • @spootybaby 1 drum set, 1 bass,1 guitar.

  • ronny halderson and reg kellen what a section

  • left channel bass recorded..............

  • @tropics1020 You're dead wrong, there is MOST DEFINITELY a bass guitar in this song, and I don't even think there's only one guitar in the recording, it sounds like a rhythm and lead on separate channels

  • @tropics1020 Yes he does the intervals and tritones in the lower range for rhythm and melody lines in the upper range. The bass player and drumer make for a perfect trio. Then you will hear harmonic arpeggios as well

  • I bought the album (believe it's his first - produced by none other than Chet Atkins!) with this on it at a garage sale for a dollar many years ago, very good deal, wouldn't you say?! For Chrissakes, he musn't be human, how the hell does he get such lush chords that sound like there's 10 notes in 'em, and in such distinctive voicings?! Best jazz arrangement of a Beatles tune ever!Tropics1020, despite your error about the bass player (who's awesome too, GREAT feel!), thanks a million for posting

  • Brilliant!

  • soudz perfect!!
