Hi Rose Mary: I'm a friend of Ronnie Aiken and she showed me your amazing Raku video. I think your pieces are AMAZING!!! I am just starting to use precious metal clay and love my kiln. It was great to see yours and how ginormous it is! Keep up the great artistry : - }

Thanks so much for your comments. It was a very simple video showing how I learned to do raku firing. I would love to talk to you about metal clay. I had one experience with it that was not great, but I've seen many pieces on craft shows that look great!

Yes, raku pieces fade, becoming lighter green, then blah gray. But these pieces can be refired! I will eventually show my whistles. I didn't film the process from the beginning, the actual making of the whistle, so will do that soon. What provided intense heat was my basket form which I made from different angle irons, then a basket made of hardware cloth that I set into the basket form. Wow! It was blazing hot when it was set into the trash can and reduction of the whistles was unreal.

Would you share your glaze receipe's?
I especially like that crackle you have
on your first pieces!
Thank you,
