  • @chrismaxim1 Hi, how have you been?.Happy new year!. Thanks for answering so soon. I never said that the Choir sings in 'LA EXTRAÑA POSICIÓN' is the Choir of St. Matthews Bethnal Green... Let me explain better!: On back-cover art of vinyl of Maxi-single of Mecano entitled NO PINTAMOS NADA (new industrial version) appears in credits of LA EXTRAÑA POSICIÓN this it just way I'm going to write here: 'The Choir of the Church of St. Mathews of London' (sic)...

  • @chrismaxim1 ...doesn't mention information more, no specifically details about what is that church, because I know there are several churches in London called ´St. Matthews´. / If at any time you manage to decipher what the choir is singing, do not hesitate to let me know please.

  • In both versions you can hear a Coral singing a requiem in Latin. Nacho Cano hired the Choir of the Church of St. Matthews in London for them to sing that piece of the song. The favor I ask is that you hear “LA EXTRAÑA POSICION”, try to understand what's Choir is singing, write the text in Latin and Spanish translations too.

  • That's the favor I want to ask. There is also another song of MECANO called “NO ES SERIO ESTE CEMENTERIO” and end of the song, Ana Torroja seems to sing (in backing-vocals) this: "Finis gloriæ mundi homini", well, at least that's what she said sing there.

  • what a fabulous performance! I haven't sung these songs for over 40 years!

  • For an amateur choir, the standard of performance is beyond belief - the more so if the practice sessions are only held on a weekly basis. I see that many (if not all) the participants are well-versed musicians in any case, but that cannot be allowed to detract from the sheer hard work and discipline needed to produce this kind of magic.

  • Wow. This is probably the best version up right now. Maybe more consonant, it gets kind of hard to understand the words. Keep it up.
