This is from the Oakland live sessions, the same concert that the first few numbers on Live Cream Vol. 2 were recorded at.

  • 8:32 was that Chuck Berry or one of the Kings? I not sure

  • @coal1987

That is the great B.B. King. Him and Clapton jammed at Cafe Au Go Go in New York in 1967, it was the first time they met and the spawning point of a looooong long friendship. Whats really crazy is that the whole set was recorded but is still yet to see the light of day... whoever recorded it has never made allowed it to become readily available.

  • If you would be so kind... I would love to hear how they did it live.

  • @EricBonamassa355

Sure, i can, but i'll warn you... In all honesty, its really not a performance much worth listening to, they start off with the riff, then fail at the vocal melody (i guess its a real tough one =P) then it just goes into a rather unimpressive Baker drum solo...

If your REAALLY want it i can still upload it though!

  • Does that bootleg have Passing the Time on it?

  • This is da real shit

  • @metart93 I've heard that one. I don't think it was the full vocal melody that was the problem---if you remember the studio track, on the main verses it was just Ginger Baker or Jack Bruce singing the lyric over a calliope and cello and glockenspiel, and good luck with Cream's stage lineup reproducing that!

  • Hey. Nice stuff. You were right

  • @metart93 ah. I see. Thats dissapointing... but if it's not too much trouble, I'd still like to hear it.
