@alontas Ben Selvin made more records in the twenties and thirties than any other band leader. Some of the biggest names in jazz worked for him before they became famous: guys like Benny Goodman, Eddie Lang, the Dorsey brothers, Bunny Berigan. . . Selvin often recorded under pseudonyms like The Knickerbockers, Lloyd Keating and The Broadway Nitelites, which may be why he isn't as well-known today as the other top dance band leaders of the time.

¡I´m so surprised! Though since my teens I´ve been hearing records of music from bands like Jean Goldkette, Duke Ellington, Paul Whiteman, Fred Waring, and others, from popular music and Jazz, I had never heard of this band of Ben Selvin: it is very good. To my wit, no less than those of Goldkette of Fred Waring. Thank you for a wonderful upload.

i just did a closing show last night of Good News. how sad! i was Professor Kenyon and the version of this song that i learned was:
You're the cream in my coffee,
You're the salt in my stew,
You will always be, my necessity,
