First of all to say "this was the first movie to get it right" was a bit of an overstatement... to compare the 1989 movie to this one was ridiculus. The 89 "Batman" film was dark, menacing movie .. these films were that but had to also tell a backstory so it made it more difficult for director Christopher Nolan not only get the backstory right but too keep it dark and edgy.
AGAIN -- don't disrespect or compare to the 89 movie, just keep the films at a distance and like them for what they are

This is awesome!!The best Batman movie!!!

@daywalker3x3 yeahhh but 40% of the first two Burton films are boring and we never see how the city is really being destroyed. In Nolan's series, we get a clear understanding of what's really going on.

@themenaceanish hey ! behave

Heath Ledger pawns all.

@themenaceanish Now why is that?

@themenaceanish medicore my ass

@daywalker3x3 That Bat Mobile looked awesome and realistic, not a cartoon looking over stylized cliche looking joke that can only work in the animated series

@ShockwaveXX lol i agree fully. Although I did like Batman Forever by Joe Schumacher, quite alot, but your right about Burton's, his are unwatchable to me

Nolan's batman movies have dialogue, character development, and suspense. Not to mention the writer is a fan. Of the series. I just didn't see that in burtons, who used the popular actor of the month to play a villian.
@MrnoWun0, TheMenaceanish you should just be quiet and stop arguing with Keenmeister you're going to give him a headache arguing all day about The Dark Knight which, was just a blockbuster movie I, my baby brother, and billions of other fans were all excited, about in 2008. 2008 is over with and there is a better Batman movie coming and better Superman movie coming as well. The years that are ahead ahead of us will make 2008 look like a preschool year. TDK is nothing special.

@themenaceanish, That is where you are wrong and sadly mistaken. I have been to different chat forum posts and video posts on Youtube. People still talk about the Batman mythology regardless if they talk about The Dark Knight or not. You really are an argumentative character aren't you Themenaceanish. You name tells it all and no matter what Keenmeister was telling you that was intelligent and logic thinking you totally disregarded what he had to say. Keenmeister just ignore him
