They could barely have chosen a worse ward to do such an interview on. Orthopaedics are rightfully fastidious about hygiene cause of significant complications involved with infections in joint replacements etc. The PM should have recognised this before he started as it is made perfectly clear, on almost all ortho wards, the importance of hygiene. Shame on the government. The lack of knowledge of basic workings of the NHS is clear at this level, no wonder they can't manage a reform!

Those who dont know the background is that the Doc is upset that members of the film crew were ignoring hygiene rules aimed at preventing the spread of disease. After his instructions the crew had to both removed their ties and rolled up their sleeves for the bedside chat that they neglected to do.
