@szabo47 Most people I know think he is one of the greatest saxophone players in Canada, including me, but I'm sure that some nobody on the internet who PJ pissed off once upon a time knows what's really up. Keep spreading the hate my man!
-
Noooo, I'm not the heroin addict. He was not happy or heathy the last time I had to unfortunately deal with him. Many people I know, wish he would just retire already! Jazz and drugs always go together! LOL!
-
@szabo47 you think he's a pompous ass and YOU'RE the one bitching about him on the internet.
-
He may not still be on heroin, but he is still a pompous ass!
-
Wow Szabo! You know the "old" PJ I guess. He's been healthy, happy and great for MANY many years now. And I guess if you think Art Pepper, Sonny Stitt and Canonball are elephant like . . . . we have different taste.
-
PJ Perry still alive? I'm amazed this pompous ass, long time hard core heroin addict, hasn't kicked the bucket yet! His sax playing sounds like a elephant having a seizure! Yeech!!
-
great sax playing...great playing all around.
-
waaay cool playing!
-
Wade Beach is tasty indeed as I found out after he finished one of his gigs. Very big with the ladies for sure.
-
Having had a few chances to get on stage with PJ on a few random jam sessions, I gotta say the guy is just a monster...the most lyrical player i think ive listened to
-
His name is Wade Beach, based in Washington, DC. Great player.
-
Who is this guy on keys? Very, very tasty.
The comments posted here regarding Wade Beach and JP Perry certainly hit the mark as far as stereotypes about musicians go. However, most jazz musicians don't do drugs and most jazz musicians like to go home to their families after their gigs.
