Enjoy! Here's a tribute for "Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots" which was released in 2008. After I finished it sometime last fall, I decided to make a tribute for it.
This is by far the video I've spent the longest time on, and I'm quite happy with the result. This entire project took way longer that I had imagined, but turned out even better than I had hoped for.

Songs are a mix of different songs from the Metal Gear Solid 3 and Metal Gear Solid 4 Soundtrack including:
"Metal Gear Solid 3 Theme" - MGS3.
"Old Snake" - MGS4.
"Guns of the Patriots" - MGS4.

Program used:
Sony Vegas 9

PS: Sorry about the little encoding error at 6:29! :( Nothing I can do about it I'm afraid.

  • Okay, I'm gonna give you my opinion on this. Conversation between Naomi and Snake or Meryl and Snake are bit emotional, and like, sneaky music was playing during it, so... Some scenes were way too long, and there are too many unnecessary effects. But again, it's just my opinion, I actually like the video itself, you did pretty good job. Anyways, I sent you friend request. We editors must stick together :D See ya mate! XD

Wow.. Constructive criticism on youtube. A rarity!

Anyways, thanks for the comment, about the conversations and music, that was kinda the effect I was going for, especially with the naomi talk, because I was trying to highlight the fact that he is becoming old and still doing the job.

Mostly I put in the effects because I was toying around with different effects in sony vegas.. I can totally see that they are unnecessary :P

    Thanks again! see ya! :D

  • @bjeck2 Ahh, I understand. A lot of people like try out new effects especially in Sony Vegas. I just got it like couple days ago and it's kinda hard to work with. I'm gonna make some random videos after school finishes, don't have time now ;D But yeah, you can't go wrong if you add background conversations and if music fits with song, those are 2 really important things. XD

  • That was brilliant! A bit hard to hear the voice over at times, but otherwise it was perfect.
