Apogee Software today released a trailer for the upcoming action title Duke Nukem: Critical Mass celebrating Duke Nukem's long overdue return to the gaming world and his first ever adventure on the Nintendo DS
Duke is sent into the future ; a future of total chaos and disaster where humankind has been nearly wiped out, all the babes have been captured and enslaved, and aliens rule with an iron fist; a world in trouble with horrendous monsters, alien pig cops, ridiculously oversized bosses and, of course, beautiful, scantily-clad babes galore -- this game has all the ingredients a serious Duke Nukem fan needs.
Join Duke on his one-man mission to obliterate the aliens, save the babes, and repopulate the planet: "Don't worry ladies, there's plenty of Duke to go around!"
With a total of seven different game-play modes, including two user activated modes, three difficulty settings, two player co-op, fifteen meat-grinding weapons, nine huge locations with over thirty exciting levels, nine monstrous bosses, and of course... FYI: This is NOT Duke Nukem Forever . This is Duke Nukem Critical Mass, a game only available for the Nintendo DS (the PSP version has been cancelled) and is available NOW. Duke Nukem Forever will still be released in June (or so) for PS3, XBOX 360 and PC. At least thats what I hope.

I have it. It's not bad for a ds game. yes it might be the worst duke nukem. but I like it.

@EliaForce1984ita It's probably going to fall under the category it's so bad it's good. Regardless I'm going to buy it and I'm going to play the crap out of it. I need some mind numbing entertainment and only Duke Nuke Em Forever can provide that.

I bought this game today , and i love it so far. Being a hardcore 2d-duke nukem fan,i have played the very first 2d duke game up to this point...and i have to say this is fantastic game the duke jokes are here , full voice sound , classic duke jokes ..and a solid enough 2d game. A duke nukem lover loves this game ,no doubt about it. So i guess nobody of you are duke nukem fans then...

it should have been an fps the ds works really well with fps's if you don't believe me, try out metroid prime hunters which has great controls and graphics, AND was a freakin launch title!

I think they wanted to make it look like duke nukem manhattan project or like the MS-DOS Duke Nukem 1 and 2 wich are 2D platforms.... but Nintendo FAILED!!! Even the PS1 episodes (duke nukem time to kill and land of babes) are better than this!!!

I hope Duke Nukem Forever will be awesome... after 12 fucking years I really hope for it to be worth the "eternal" wait...
