the purist voice, full of emotion, wonderful phrasing. i used to play doris to my kids to get them to sleep, especially "i will never stop loving you", a strange choice i guess , but her dulcit tones lulled them to sleep.She was a great actress too, versatile, could play any part esp comdey, her timing was fabulous.

This clip is a perfect illustration of why Doris Day is so highly regarded: She sings with feeling, careful phrasing, wonderful pitch. She's compelling, and you can't take your eyes off her. The best!

I love this song by Doris. Her wonderfully unique voice is always such a pleasure to listen to. I just watched the movie "Love Me Or Leave Me" and she is perfect as singer Ruth Ettig. She is so beautiful and wears such gloriously glamorous gowns and her acting ability is superb. Also, Cameron Mitchell is a heck of a sexy guy here. Thank you for posting this. - Paula
