Clark Air Base and Subic Bay Naval Base will always be remembered. Whether we were assigned, in or out of uniform, a family member living on or near one of the many bases that flourished across the years; our memories will live on. So, let's strike up the band with flashbacks of HOG '89.
This was one video project that took more time than usual. Events ran February 18-20, it was recorded day and night, capturing as many events as possible. It includes Clarkite's comments as they walk by; comments that now seem almost priceless. Maybe you were with a date, or school friends, a member of the Clubs staff at one of the many booths, or other MWR effort, the fabulous 374th APS Haunted House team, 3rd CES train crew, Joe Lemieux's Magic show, the Stotsenburg Players theater, Latino Unitos food stand, one of many musicians, clowns or unnamed performers. You might have just stopped by for face-painting, a BUCKING MECHANICAL BULL RIDE, or some HOG-HEAVEN cotton candy. This is no bull. HOG 1989 was lots of funnnnnnnnnn... TWENTY (20)+YEARS after Mt. Pinatubo...I'll definitely return..

But I remembered the Hog Day was on grass. Not on dried soil. And it wasn't my first time :). My first was in 1986 or 87. My sister and I wanted to win Alf stuff toys so badly lol. We used our tickets on games to hopefully win one and not on rides. What we won were just those clip-on small animals :). Now that we're grown ups, we get to acquire Alfs in different sizes lol.

I remember coming here from off base with my childhood friends. not sure what year though lol. i think 1989 or 1990. I even dropped my wallet that night while sitting on the grass. I was blaming the black native people because they were there when it disappeared only seconds later.

i miss your presence here, i live near clark and i miss your phantoms pass by with roaring engines.i remember when i was a kid, we visited my grandpa in the hospital inside clark.my uncle is in your navy that time, he is retired now and lives in vegas with his family.
