Yeah, "Savages" is totally meant to be morally damning. The first hint is the fact that the film's villain is singing most of it. XD

This is probably the only animated film/cartoon where the racism part is not bad in the sense that here it is historically portraying how people viewed each other back thing. In contrast to say Peter Pan and the infamous "why is the redman red" where the whole portrayal is a bit racy. Here the English and Native Americans are not portrayed as satires nor include any derogatory themes, it is only in the reactions between the people and their interpretation of one another which is historical.
