L.C. von Sukmeister his Best Wishes Card fulfills a double function based on the following dilemma: how can the x-mas tree in its historical, past shape be captured with the knowledge of its transitory nature and the logic of the newly created space be illustrated, and how can ―which is perhaps more crucial― the emphasis of the event, the emergence of the work, be conveyed? Thus, the filmic cartography of the space, which ensures comprehension of the given project its tactical accomplishment―punctuated by text inserts in the comments by Raden Wahyono― intersects with fleeting x-mas phenomena, light reflections, dramatic blue screen backgrounds, will-o-the wisp x-mas tree flashlights, a dancing wayang 2.0 protagonist, and blending effects of the camera lenses, glimmering stardust, the weight of the x-mas tree to be removed, the exertion and minaret applied, and, in the end, the pleasure with the successful result of a personally handmade digitally created Best Wishes 2010 Card.
