SUZ Rushes - Mulder mourns mom

A few takes, 3 sizes of dailies: wide from living room doorway, Duchovny in a medium close up, and a two shot of David & Gillian. Some sweet, affectionate consoling too. No bloopers, just for general interest sake to see the actors doing their thing.

Found in storage on a dark, fuzzy VHS tape. Revisiting my dusty 15 year old XF collection, a fandom resurgence, post-XF:IWTB.

Glad someone's enjoying 'em, beyond me! Finding dailies for this show was like finding gold, which is why I'm sharing. Even in this crummy quality I eat up every little detail of their performances. Also, notice when cut is called after the 1st take, GA is laughing (despite the angsty moment that just played out)? Looked maybe as though DD had left a trail of tears/phlegm all over her shirt or something. :)

How strange it must be to pour your heart and emotions into a scene and then on cut you just walk away.

@monstroushummingbird she does laugh... but first she says "ooh" as i think if she was trying to leave the acting behind cause in the first shot she was crying too. Then she laughes but i think it's more an actor's / actress' mechanism to get away from an intense scene...

yeah i agree with coxiesara it's weird watching them being all sad and intimate one moment and then laughing the next...just goes to show what good actors they are!

I have found out this last two weeks, this is what it's like losing your mom..... always looking for an answer and being angry. love this scene!
