The Rendlesham Forest case is undoubtedly one of the best documented and most significant military encounters with a UFO. It is also very ... all » credible incident. The incident spanned four days in 1980. Rendlesham Forest is a large pine forest, east of Ipswich, in Suffolk, England. Nearby are the twin NATO air bases, RAF Bentwaters and RAF Woodbridge; at the time both bases were being leased to the United States Air Force. Several UFO incidents, including multiple-witness sightings by military personnel, ground traces, and radioactive anomalies were reported from Rendlesham forest. According to USAF security patrolmen on duty, "the object was described as being metallic in apperance and triangular in shape, approx. 2-3 meters across the base... it illuminated the entire forest with a white light, and had a pulsing red light on top and a bank(s) of blue lights underneath." In November, 2002, the British Ministry of Defense released the "Rendlesham File" of documents related to and confirming the Rendlesham Forest incident.

This is probably one of the most reliable events that have ever happened regarding UFO's. I would stack any of the 3 major witnesses up against any of the skeptics in regards to their honor, courage, and life accomplishments. The other major witness Jim Penniston has won more military awards than any doubter on this board.

Personally, I don't think it's a hoax story. What is a problem though, are the witnesses who got the idea that they'd like to embellish the events for whatever reasons. This discredited the initial accounts and made the whole story look flakey when in fact it wasn't to begin with at least.

I tend to believe wholeheartedly in these men. There is truly no stake in lying over what happened in that forest. Perhaps fame and acknowledgement from UFO-believers, but that seems farfetched. I would be interested in finding out how much these men have benefited thus far from telling us their tale of that night....

I was stationed at Raf Bentwaters/Raf Woodbridge in December1980, and I think I remember that early in 1981 there was an influx of LSD in the surrounding town of Ipswich, I think the Gov. put it there to dicredit anyone who may have seen this incident

search the Jackie Gleason shown aliens by Richard Nixon. Gleason told his wife and (unlikely) this character Warren. Some say the latter is very, very unlikely.

There is NO proof that a UFO is made on another planet. the same USAF military admitted that early STEALTH technology fooled the SHEEPLE into thinking they were UFOs... here we go again are you folks that stupid?.
