  • Try a Karmann build BMW 3,0 CSI Coupe or 3,0 SI Berlina, the noise insulation of these cars is even worse than on any Fiat of that time, but the BMW engines are of course made for sport use, so the Fiat allwysa was misunderstood as hot hatch.

Compared to an even more expensive Mercedes 280CE the Fiat is even a kind of hot hatch...those Benz are lethagic but Benz were cars for old man.

  • Hi Klottelitsch, if you manage to cure the piston rings issue, that will interest many enthusiasts. Do you have an idea of the price of such Chevrolet 5.7 litre TRW and manley race & Sports piston sets ? And if you allow people benefit from your experience about changing the conrod eye that has to be bushed some stronger with customized conrod bushings, that is great too !

  • Please enter this into the search field of youtube there you can see the good dual throttle Ford intake system. EFI MPI

Ford Scorpio 2,9 V6 motor sound

  • Dual throttle : quite interesting as this may then reuse the standard DFC45 intake manifold. Is it the way you intend to upgrade ? What programmable module would you choose ? Microsquirt ?

  • Well the Fiat V6 is even better and MUCH MORE RELIABLE THAN any FERRARI engine, Its sad that Ferrai did not install this design with 3 cabs instead of the fragile 4 OHC stuff

  • man,do not tell bullshit, in which ferrari did they use that engine?none?because it is NOT a ferrari engine, the fact is that Lampredi designed it, but he also made for fiat 1300-1500 ohv series,1400-2000 dohc series,1100-1500 series ohc, so I assume all that fiats have ferrari engines because Lampredi designed them? Fairytales,I own fiat 130 coupe, I love that car:) but it has fiat, not ferrari engine. I had Dino 2000, there you can find ferrari engine though it was assembled "inhouse" fiat:)

  • If change timingbelts any 60.000 KM never any engine problems you can revv 7000 RPM no problem the engine can take that (Stroke 66 !)

I did it on autobahn and I had the car for many many years as summer daily driver.

You cant destroy this enginei if not forget to fill good oil in....USE 20W50 mineral oil

and not synthetic thin modern wonder stuff!

  • this 130 Pininfarina is an all time masterpiece that deserves a place in a museum of modern art! Its not a racecar but fast enough...my one could go 220 on redline in 5th...I know this guy with the 130 Berlina 3 Carb conversion, this thing is hellfast :))

  • He is right, this Fiat is a good car, I had one 5 Speed 3200 and it was very very comfortable to drive and it was reliable, never any Problems.

My modern BMW stands in the garage with electronic problems allmost every 2 Months..grrr

    :) Keep this fiat!

I would prefer this car over any modern Coupé,

just watch how ugly the modern Mercedes Coupé C Class is..
