Watching the dance was loads of fun! I was there with some ESL students, and we all got a huge kick out of how good all the dancers were, both in participatory spirit and coordination. Woo hoo!

That's too bad. I felt really bad for those of u trying to record it!!! I just wish we had more room to dance! I was hitting everyone around me-I felt so bad! (sorry guys!) At least u can say u were there, but ur video was a little confusing, as to if it was the rehearsal, or the performance. I just didn't think u should post the rehearsal without mentioning it was a rehearsal. There were so many ppl. getting there makeup done right up to performance time.

Live and learn. There wasn't anyone collecting money until after the performance... not the best plan, and no one organizing the viewer area. Me, I screwed up my video, too. I used a hand boom and aimed my camera too low in the performance video (see it on my YouTube ButchBoard channel)
Thanks for the visit, and sorry I didn't give you a better video. I learned a lot about shooting in a very, very crowed situtation.

This whole thing is new to Vancouver, and it didn't get a lot of publicity before... or even now. It wasn't mentioned in either 24 Hours, or Metro. Hopefully it will grow (just like the Zombie Walk) and everyone will learn to do it better next time.
I apologize for not making better video... I used a hand boom and didn't do a good job of aiming the camera (I can't see the viewfinder when using a boom), but I learned a lot.
