S.S. Badger returns to Ludington

Ludington residents and visitors lined the waterfront from the Loomis Stree boat ramps to Waterfront Park Sunday to welcome the S.S. Badger home as it pulled into port for the last time this season. We took the SS Badger back to Wis after a 1/2 circle tour summer 2010. It's fantastic. The ship is the only coal-fired steamer on the National Register of Historic Places. A must for any Great Lakes aficionado's bucket list.

For those who want to take the SS Badger, DONT. It takes FOUR HOURS TO CROSS. i went on it once to get to ludington. funny sounding horn though.
