Don't know about Shovelglove? Go to Shovelglove.com to find out more! Shovelglove is the intellectual property of Reinhard Engles; to whom I am merely a fan-boy. I take no responsibility, legal or personal, if you try these goof-ball moves of mine and end up damaged as a result. So don't sue me, please! ;)

  • Grip is TOTALLY WRONG. Top hand should NOT be on the paddle shaft but on the top so that you can control the angle of the blade.

  • @tomrum42: True, I took some liberties with the grip, but it's important to keep in mind that the purpose of this exercise is to challenge the muscles of the shoulders and arms by approximating the motions of canoeing, not necessarily to teach people how to canoe. My hammer's handle is noticeably longer than a canoe paddle and lacks the t-grip at the end, so a proper grip is difficult at best, and potentially dangerous. I felt that this grip offered the best combination of control and comfort.

  • Thanks! I had a feeling that these would be a hit with the community.

  • How simple, good work out in my home with what (tools) I already own, this fits into my daily activities. I found your information on Podcast.com. Keep it up.

  • Of all the moves you've uploaded, these are the ones I enjoy the most. I will definitely include them in my routine.
