  • I mean this is just fine, but it's almost Note for note just like the Lesley Gore version, I wouldn't say it's an improvement over Gore's Original hit, so I sometimes wonder, what's the point? At any rate, it's interesting to hear so thanks for posting.

  • this song was produced by Phil the Collector Swern, who produces Pick of the Pops and Sounds of the 60's on BBC Radio 2 and Phil also produced We Do It By R and J Stone in 1976

  • i had their version of the best part of breaking up...b side was good too...great post

  • Very nice! First time I've heard this version!!!

  • I'm an American, and this is the first time I've ever heard this rendition. It's pretty faithfull to the original. A little googling reveals that this made it to #32 on the British charts in 1972, while Lesley Gore's made it all the way to #20 in 1964.

  • interesting use of the visuals added, some of them made me laugh...great song.

  • i remember this song, i was very young but i must say it still sound great to me, thans for posting

  • I believe "It Happened On A Sunday Morning was also used as a radio show theme tune.

Have your heard Vicki Brown's debut album - an equal rarity?

  • There were three girls in the Seashells - as well as Vicki and Mary there was also the late Laura Lee (a regular member of the Ladybirds). Vicki Brown did a really nice duet with Stephanie De-Sykes in the early 70s called 'It Happened on a Sunday Morning'. Well worth a play if you can find it

  • Anyone have their 'Best of Part of Breakin' Up'???
