  • she can put the bluest tint on the sunniest song

  • @sunmanpatoo ....she's nature is melancholic and therefore whatever she sings is sad and heartbreaking...

  • ..sadness and lonesomeness always grab my heart when I become aware of temporariness and the fragility .....why can we just be pleased with little things , like the fact that the sky is blue or that the amount just looks marvellously in the fall(autumn)..when the leaves begin to drop ??

  • is this her own composition? it's amazing

  • @stefthe80 Yes it is ..and the words of this lovely song are just so truthful..

  • I have very special memories associated with this song, this exact version.

  • This is more than song ..so deep, and more than words ..

  • @Alessandro09091980 ,

    Unfortunately it's not. It's Bernard Ighner's.

  • A True Diva. Not the fakes that pass for diva, these days.

  • so beautiful-I heard it in the new film !another happy day! with Ellen Barkin etc.

  • What I love about this song is that it is, by and large, melancholic, and is performed in a minor key. Then, right at the end, Nina sings the word "change" with a determination in her voice and a major chord to finish, as if to say "change is not always a bad thing".

  • A great song of truth by an artist who was always true to her art. There will never be another like her. Thank you , Nina.

  • Haunting... Gives me goose bumps every time! Thank you Nina!

  • simply marvelous. the mark of the really wonderful, individual singers is their ability to imbue the lrics with an individual interpretation . Please also listen to PEGGY LEE singing this, both ladies are no longer with us. Fortunately their art was recorded. What a rich legacy.

  • @jalmanzo your sensibilities are on point. one of the greatest sounds. Its like birth or death my poet! bless up

  • @stefthe80 No, it was written by Bernard Ighner.

  • @Alessandro09091980 The song was written by Bernard Ighner.
