I'm Curtis Prevo. I currently reside in Tennessee, close to my school, Southern Adventist University. I'm 19 years old and a junior in college. I sing bass in our choirs (plural, yes). I generally sing better in the choir. I find the virtual choir is actually REALLY difficult! Anyway, this video took toooooo many tries, since I live close to very busy railroad tracks with a couple of sometimes obnoxious roommates (guess why I'm in the basement). I am a HUGE Whitacre fan, and I sometimes get to spread his awesomeness because I work at a classical music radio station (WSMC).

I made a couple of errors, but nothing too serious. Near the end, you'll hear some water running upstairs and my heart beating through my voice. Why is singing to a camera so nerve-wracking? My apologies.

All-in-all, I had fun, and I can't wait for the next virtual choir piece!

  • Well done!

  • @ScOOb4St33vE Thanks :)

  • Lovely sounding voice. Very rich for your age. Take a bit of a look at the breathing

  • Yeah, I know I breathe too much. Such is life....

Our choir director tells us to never breathe on the measure or between words. Staggered breathing helps the entire choir sound better. Each individual may sou -(breath)- nd like an idio -(breath)- t, but at least it makes for a good blend.
