@islespatrick No disrespect but to imply that Elliott Smith is overrated is completely ludicrous, the man wrote some of the most beautiful, true lyrics that I personally have ever heard and the fact that alot of people either haven't heard of him or refuse to acknowledge his talent while listening to their bullshit manufactured music is beyond a joke.

Elliott Smith had the talent to be the voice of his generation had he chosen to be so and to many including myself he was totally underrated!

@khicks135 The problem is the way the music industry in this day and age it matters more what you look like or vocal strength rather than the message you're giving, 2 of my friend I've put onto Smith have come back saying they only like DIvision Day WHY? Cause it's an awesome melody and a friendly beat you don't have to listen to the words to enjoy the tune all of his other stuff they gave up on without really hearing it, but I guess all the more for people with musical substance

Wow, hearing Elliot on the harmonica like that just sent a jolt through me, like he was touching me with the tips of his fingers. He's so powerful...even though he's gone, his music serves as a trace and really captured his soul. I lock myself in my room and listen to him and I don't feel so alone anymore.
