  • At 12:04 there is no 'X' ?

  • @tenhatchets Indeed, there is no "X." Neither is there a "J" nor a "Y." Now ask yourself why that is. The common language of music is Italian, correct? In Italian, those letters are mostly only used for non-Italian words. Now imagine your intrepid reviewer carefully cutting and pasting a couple dozen letters from numerous PDF scores on IMSLP, and naturally finding only 23 letters. That's why.

  • Does anybody else think that the realism of the instruments in Sib7 is shit? Did anybody else have this problem with the free trial?????

  • @TheFrogndanable Please tone it down. I'm doing these videos solely out of concern for young composers. The only repayment I require is reasonable debate.

  • Really love your videos Thomas, but this time I really had to pause - at 3:10. The background music is taking over. It's not the music itself, it's just that it's to loud. What's the percentage level you're using? You should lower it 'til the upcoming videos. Otherwise: great job!

  • @lither That's what you get for non-union work! Seriously, though, thanks for letting me know. Sometimes, different speakers will accentuate different wavelengths - both my headphones and my computer speakers don't have a problem with the levels. Point taken that yours do. I'll keep it in mind.

  • Excellent.

  • @OrchestrationOnline Took the words out of my mouth!

  • @lither I agree, the music, as good as it is, is rather overwhelming at times

  • @TheFrogndanable Yeah. They are not good at all.

  • @TheFrogndanable It's also worth mentioning that (unless I am incorrect) the instruments don't come with the free trial, so the sounds you hear during the trial are either earlier version Sibelius sounds or midi from your computer. Those sounds are not going to be very good.

  • @TheFrogndanable The free trial doesn't come with the sound set. It only plays back the standard midi sounds.
