Unique archaeological resources are being destroyed in addition to desecration of a sacred site -- at least 7000-year-old graves and burial sites in this cemetery. Ironically, one of the desecrators, Lucy Dunn, has been nominated to the Transportation Commission to push the 241 Toll Road through yet another sacred site, the ancient village of panhe in San Clemente at Trestles.

  • They should be allowed to REST IN PEACE right where they were buried, and not disturbed, for lands sake, for lang grabbers, if they don't want to live next to graves, then DON'T live there.

  • You should, would you want your dead family dug up and desicrated.

  • No ones ancestors resting in peace should be disturbed. NO MATTER WHAT CULTURE they are.

  • lets build in arlington

  • Who gives a fuck about 7000 year old graves

  • right on!

  • I understand your view.

One one hand, we as decent people must respect the dead AND the living by honoring their place of rest. On the other hand, populations will increase so long as there are sufficient resources to keep us alive. If mankind continued to bury people and never uses that land, we would soon run out of land.

It's a tough predicament. But we aren't out of land just yet. I say let them rest in peace. Build elsewhere. But this is an issue that we can't just keep putting off.

  • I know this seems cold, but cant the bodies be relocated? Theres alot of people on earth. were expanding and dying. shouldn't we make concessions for the living? after all dead men know of nothing. i don't think they will care where homes are built.

  • If this was the grave site of a "founding father of the united states there would never be a home built within miles. Yet this is the grave of the true founding people of this land. There is alot of land and the options for reimbursement are possible. There should be no need to have to picket and protest to afford basic decency
