They have created a new genre for music... which Americans don't seem to like it where as its loved by many Asian countries...

I'm not sure about the music , but last time I checked, Japan is the country that holds 12 Best Foreign Language Film nominees and is the home country of Joe Hisaishi, the composer that never fails to pluck heartstrings. Not South Korea.

In my opinion

Kpop- Their mv add to the fact that I like their songs since they are catchy, true as an American I can say that the beat and style are very familiar but they still hold their own ex Juliette vs Deal With It sound they same but one is slightly better

Jpop- I only really enjoy songs that they put in Animes and Video Games since they are so much better. The songs are good in Animes and games but not mv ex shooting star from naruto by home made kazoku
