how come my elements 6 doesnt support RAW/NEF files, i tried editing raw files but it says it doesnt support it :(( any suggestion?

Hi Jack
The RAW filesf rom my Canon 40D are showing up as type CR2 files.
However, I noticed that the icons of these files changed since I loaded picasa 3.

Jolly good vid Jack. I do believe you have the opening down now. I have played a little with raw but gave up. Now after the vid, I will try again. I am shooting a Cannon Rebel XTI, but can't remember what the file ext. is. Weather cold but sunny in Idaho.

Well, i'm still learning to use mine. Going to try some timelapsing this weekend I think.
It's good here, but not the best weather we can have.
Next week, another cold front is coming our way. Meaning mister freeze is going to stay for some days. And since I'm a carpenter i'm not looking forward to it.
Still, maybe i'll get to take some nice scenery shots. :)

This makes me want a DSLR even more. I don't think my Fuji Finepix S1000 has RAW. Is working with RAW a new feature only on PSE 7? I'm working with 6.

I use a Nikon to, so I only know NEF.

Thanks again for the comments. I don't shoot much in RAW but I always feel that a lot of people don't really know what their camera can do. Hope you weather is better then ours, we are having a ice storm all schools are closed today.
