  • Good tone! Which amp/speaker are you using? How did you voice your piano? More fundamental, more overtone or balanced mixture of both? Sounds like more overtone...

  • @psicolor Thankyou! It depends wery much on the EQ and filter settings, that can be adjusted to a lot of variations. Its through a 1000Watt PA here+a Jazz Chorus 160:)Patrik

  • It sounds different from a mark II or whatever. It has its own magic.

  • @firehandszarb Thats 100% right:)

  • @Tonewheeldude hey...how does the hammer action feel on this. I need a midi keyboard that's really great, and it wouldn't hurt to have the polyphonic aftertouch of this keyboard but I wanna know how it feels.

  • @geoffreyefloyd If you need a MIDI keyboard, buy a MIDI keyboard, if you want a Rhodes, get a Rhodes.

Buying a Rhodes to use primarily as a MIDI controller is a very bad idea! The things weighs over 50 kg, and for a piano, the action isn't all that terrific ... UNLESS you want to play primarily Rhodes sounds!

In that case the real deal will give you the best feel. But a Rhodes action does NOT approximate a grand piano action the way (cheaper!) MIDI controllers (Kawai, Doepfer, ...) can.

  • @Tonewheeldude glad to hear it, can you give some info on pricing? I want the model that has the polyphonic aftertouch on it...which I believe is the AM series.

    Regards,

    Geoffrey
